Hawzah News Agency- Organizers said the mourning procession went ahead as scheduled, with security measures in place to ensure the peaceful observance of the religious ceremony.
Ahead of the event, opposition to the march had surfaced, and organizers claimed threats had been made against the gathering. Nevertheless, participants stressed their commitment to holding the ceremony peacefully and proceeded with the planned procession.
As concerns mounted over potential tensions and unrest, law enforcement and local authorities stepped in to maintain public order and ensure the safety of mourners, taking necessary precautions to prevent any clashes.
The Arbaeen procession ultimately took place in a calm atmosphere without incident. Attendees used the occasion to reaffirm their devotion to the ideals of the Ashura uprising and to honor the memory of the martyrs of Karbala.
Participants underscored the importance of respecting religious and ideological diversity in society, stating that differences in beliefs should never lead to threats, violence, or the obstruction of others' religious observances. They called for the right of all faith communities to hold peaceful religious ceremonies within the framework of the law.
They further emphasized that the message of Ashura belongs to no single group or sect, adding that Imam Hussein's (PBUH) teachings on justice, human dignity, freedom, and standing against oppression are universal values that can inspire Muslims and all free people around the world.
